Peanut butter and chocolate are a match made in heaven. For real, my favorite pair (right next to peanut butter and jelly). Do you see the common denominator there? Peanut butter is life. It makes the best desserts, the best sandwiches, and it enhances sweet breakfast meals.
I was flipping through Instagram and one of the pages I follow popped up with this beautifully satisfying look dessert. When I clicked on it and saw it was peanut butter AND chocolate AND oreos, I knew I had to save the pin for a perfect time. By the way, the recipe is from Sally's Baking Addiction. Her IG handle is @sallysbakeblog. You need to follow her now. I promise, she's great.
Mother's Day this year was coming up and I inherited my sweet teeth from my mother. She also loves peanut butter and chocolate as much as I do and I know the perfect recipe to make. I gathered all of the ingredients and started going through her recipe to make sure I knew how to make them look as good as hers.

Sally's Baking Addiction recipes are easy to follow. I will be honest, most of the time when I try to make the recipes I save, I skip the blog portion. Odd I know since I write blogs. But I'm getting out of that habit. And I'm glad I read every part of that recipe. Her recipes aren't your standard list of ingredients and then how to make it. She goes into the why. Why you want to make sure you do certain things. And that information is valuable. They're techniques that will stick with you when you make other recipes that will help guarantee the success of your creation. The website is a great source of knowledge. Out of respect to Sally and her time baking and coming up with these recipes, you will have to click the link above to get the recipe. I'm just here telling you that they are in fact amazing. These chocolate peanut butter cheesecake bars taste as good as they look. They're quick and easy to make. The recipe doesn't ask for any crazy ingredients.
The ONLY question I have and if anyone knows the answer PLEASE comment below. Since the top is a ganache that sets, the chocolate separates from the cheesecake layer. Which is tragic. Does anyone know how to make this not happen??
I love these bars, my mother will love these bars and I can't wait to make them for the next bar-b-que we go to.
Cheers!
